Seeing a new species in person is a treat for me, I thought I was capturing a Hawk but when I checked my book I do believe I may have spotted a Merlin; formerly known as Pigeon Hawks.

It says they nest in open fields and I was driving through some isolated hay fields when I spotted him. For you bird lovers thought I'd post him. Do you think he's a Merlin too?
